For Spring 2011 our design team was inspired by African prints and woven textiles. We looked at a lot of African block printing techniques and woven Kente cloth for inspiration as well as mixing traditional tribal motifs in with modern, geometric designs-- All the while trying to keep the organic, earthy quality of true African textiles. I'm in love with the graphic, bold look of African prints as well as the saturated colors! Here are the prints I worked on for this concept.
